TwinFlow visited MAIT and Aalto 9.6.2026
The 7th Steering Group Meeting was hosted by MAIT Nordics in Espoo. At the same time, researchers and experts gathered at Aalto University to attend a presentation by MAIT on State-of-the-Art Commercial Solutions for Manufacturing and Intralogistics. Following lunch, participants continued discussions on the topics presented by MAIT and visited the Aalto Factory of the Future demonstrations, including Energy-Aware Orchestration of Digitalised Robotic Production Assets. The day concluded with a presentation on the status of the TwinFlow flagship demonstrator.

Researchers discuss manufacturing data spaces at Fraunhofer ISST
March 5th 2026Researchers from Tampere University and Aalto University gathered at Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISST) to discuss data spaces and ongoing research activities related to applications in manufacturing. Fraunhofer ISST, led by Prof. Dr. Boris Otto, is a forefront developer and driver of data spaces. Researchers from both Tampere University and Aalto University have been conducting research exchange periods at ISST, focusing on data space architectures, applying data spaces for edge solutions, and developing related demonstrators.
