Researchers discuss manufacturing data spaces at Fraunhofer ISST
March 5th 2026Researchers from Tampere University and Aalto University gathered at Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISST) to discuss data spaces and ongoing research activities related to applications in manufacturing. Fraunhofer ISST, led by Prof. Dr. Boris Otto, is a forefront developer and driver of data spaces. Researchers from both Tampere University and Aalto University have been conducting research exchange periods at ISST, focusing on data space architectures, applying data spaces for edge solutions, and developing related demonstrators.
TwinFlow visited Fastems 10.2.2026
Fastems in Tampere hosted the 6th steering group meeting and collaboration workshop. The day began with parallel meetings for the steering group and researchers & experts. After lunch, Fastems led thematic discussions, followed by a factory tour. The discussions generated ideas for collaboration workshops on TwinFlow themes.
